A card sleeve can be described as a gaming accessory which is typically used for keeping playing cards in safe condition.  Microns are the unit of measurement used to determine the thickness of a card sleeve. Microns vary 40-100 even up to 120. Card sleeves with a thickness of 40 to 50 microns are considered of low quality. Cards sleeves with a thickness of 60-90 are considered medium quality and finally 100+ microns are considered as high quality card sleeves.

Thicker sleeves are taking more space in your gaming box, are more expensive, but also are stronger, last more in time, shuffle better especially when you play a card game like Deck building games, trading cards games, collectible card gaes where you use cards at all times.

Thinner sleeves are taking less space in your gaming box, are cheaper, they do not last long, and is better to use them in board games where cards are not frequently used.
